Już na poczatku szlaku mamy atrakcję w postaci zjazdu do Łużyka. Uważajcie tam na mocno wystające korzenie.

Rowerowy Maj to największa kampania w Polsce promująca zdrowy tryb życia i zrównoważoną mobilność wśród dzieci przedszkolnych, uczniów szkół podstawowych, grona nauczycielskiego oraz rodziców i opiekunów. Rowerowy Maj, poprzez zabawę połączoną z elementami rywalizacji, popularyzuje rower jako środek transportu do szkoły, uczy dobrych i zdrowych nawyków, które utrzymują się również po zakończeniu kampanii. Rowerowy Maj skutecznie zmienia okolice szkół i przedszkoli na bardziej bezpieczne i przyjazne rowerzystom, zmniejszając liczbę samochodów dowożących dzieci i motywując samorządy do inwestycji prorowerowych. Zasady kampanii są bardzo proste: każdy przedszkolak, uczeń i nauczyciel, który w maju dotrze na lekcje w sposób aktywny: na rowerze, hulajnodze, rolkach czy deskorolce, otrzymuje naklejki do rowerowego dzienniczka i na wspólny plakat klasowy. Miasto Gdańsk, jako organizator kampanii przygotowuje się do tegorocznej, już X edycji Rowerowego Maja 2024. Poprzednia IX edycja odbyła się w 41 miastach i gminach polskich, w tym zarówno w największych aglomeracjach, miastach średniej i małej wielkości, jak i w gminach wiejskich. Wiele z nich uczestniczyło w projekcie po raz pierwszy, dla innych była to już kolejna edycja. Rowerowy Maj, w każdej z uczestniczących gmin przyjął się z dużym entuzjazmem i sprawdził się wszędzie, niezależnie od wielkości miasta, doświadczenia, czy nawet stanu infrastruktury rowerowej. Zdecydowana większość miast i gmin, które wzięły udział w poprzednich edycjach kampanii, rekomenduje ją innym samorządom, a same deklarują chęć uczestnictwa w kolejnej edycji.

Dla rodziców
Aby dzieci mogły bezpiecznie i w pełni skorzystać z wszystkich atutów Rowerowego Maja konieczne jest ich właściwe przygotowanie. Rola rodziców jest kluczowa w powodzeniu kampanii. To na nich spoczywa decyzja o uczestnictwie, ale również właściwe przygotowanie dzieci i sprzętu. Wystarczy zadbać o kilka podstawowych spraw. Z pomocą specjalnie opracowanej dla rodziców checklisty, zadanie to będzie jeszcze łatwiejsze. Najważniejsza jest jednak sama postawa. Warto przynajmniej podczas kampanii zamienić samochód na rower i towarzyszyć dziecku w drodze do szkoły, czy samemu wybrać aktywne formy przejazdu do pracy, bo najlepiej jak przykład idzie z góry.
Jak dołączyć do kampanii
1. Miasto
Do udziału w kampanii zaproszone są wszystkie zainteresowane miasta i gminy. Miasto Gdańsk, jako pomysłodawca i główny organizator kampanii z przyjemnością dzieli się swoim pomysłem, doświadczeniem i dobrymi praktykami z zakresu promocji ruchu rowerowego. W ramach zawartego z Gminą Miasta Gdańska porozumienia międzygminnego, zainteresowane samorządy otrzymują własną podstronę, dostęp do programu umożliwiającego obsługę kampanii, projekty materiałów graficznych oraz wsparcie merytoryczne koordynatora krajowego.
2. Szkoła
Rowerowy Maj to kampania skierowana do przedszkoli i szkół podstawowych. Zaproszenia wychodzące od samorządów, bądź delegowanych przez nie organizacji, kierowane są do wszystkich oddziałów danej placówki, obejmując dzieci w wieku od 3 do 15 lat, a także wszystkich pracowników szkoły czy przedszkola. Zainteresowana placówka powinna zwrócić się do Urzędu Miasta lub Gminy, któremu podlega, z zapytaniem o możliwość udziału w kampanii. Samorząd, czyli lokalny organizator kampanii, zapewnia materiały drukowane, nagrody, dostęp do systemu informatycznego wspomagającego kampanię oraz niezbędny instruktaż dla koordynatorów szkolnych. Po stronie placówki spoczywa obowiązek realizacji kampanii zgodnie z regulaminem, w tym przede wszystkim rozdysponowanie materiałów (plakaty, książeczki, naklejki, nagrody) i regularne sprawozdawanie obecności rowerowej uczestników.
3. Uczestnik + Rodzic
Jeśli chciałbyś aby Twoje dziecko mogło wziąć aktywny udział w Rowerowym Maju, a placówka do której uczęszcza jeszcze nie realizowała tej kampanii, porozmawiaj z innymi rodzicami, wychowawcą klasy i dyrekcją, zainteresuj ich kampanią i korzyściami, jakie niesie ona dla uczniów i szkół. Oddolne inicjatywy są często skutecznym rozwiązaniem. Jeśli nie uda się przystąpić do najbliższej edycji, sam zaproponuj zabawę dziecku namawiając je do aktywnych przejazdów do szkoły w miesiącu maju.

Kampania Rowerowy Maj jest chętnie wspierana przez centra kultury, nauki, rozrywki i rekreacji, które fundują najbardziej aktywnym klasom grupowe bilety, wycieczki lub nagrody rzeczowe. Innym równie cenionym przez uczestników rodzajem nagrody jest spotkanie ze znanymi sportowcami, aktorami, czy dziennikarzami. Wspólne treningi, pogadanki, czy warsztaty dla wielu pozostają niezapomnianym doświadczeniem. Dla partnerów do świetna okazja aby wypromować oferowane usługi wśród dzieci i młodzieży szkolnej.
